MEET ISABELLE
Your life coach and founder of I Choose Dare
I am a Certified Life Coach based in Prince George, British Columbia. In my 11 years in Social Services, I have worked with teenagers and young adults from all walks of life. Many of my experiences come from working with high-risk and street-entrenched teenagers in the system and working in non-profit government and private sectors.
As I've continued my practice in the social work field, I have found that there is a significant need and gap between youth and support services, especially with youth having limited resources to learn how to navigate life and overcome its potential challenges and barriers.
I've seen first-hand, over and over again, the emotional and mental struggles youths face when life gets too overwhelming and challenging for them. They are often left without hope and want to give up. In these moments, I realized that these youths just want someone to listen to them – to feel heard, seen, and validated - to have the opportunity to express their struggles and receive the support and guidance to get through their internal battles.

In acknowledging the lack of support for youth and wanting to help fill “the gap” and to be “that someone” for them, I trained and became a Certified Life Coach through Rhodes Wellness College based in Vancouver, BC, with the mindset and desire to advocate for and help teens and young adults find their inner voice, personal power, and unlock the full potential to transform their lives.
I have an immense passion to help youth in any way that I can, whether that’s working on their self-empowerment, self-motivation, cultivating their happiness, finding their purpose, or needing the space to uncover their truth. Whatever their goal or path, I have the tools, strategies, and skillset to help your teenager or young adult(s) make better choices and create goals to ensure they are living the best life possible.
I HOLD A STRONG BELIEF THAT OUR FUTURE BELONGS TO OUR YOUTH AND EVERY YOUTH HAS A LIGHT WITHIN THEM. THEY ALL DESERVE A CHANCE TO DEVELOP THEIR LIGHT AND MAKE THE WORLD A BRIGHTER PLACE.
THE STORY: I CHOOSE DARE
Prior to pursuing my coaching practice, I originally created the concept of “i choose dare” as an Instagram page in 2021. I created this page with a mission to motivate and dare others to “unlock their inner and authentic selves”, and to challenge them to respond with acknowledgement, reflection, or action. To create these dares, I take photos of signs, buildings, and scenery around my community in Prince George, then edit them with thought-provoking questions or quotes.
I incorporated ICD's missions with my coaching practice to more directly reach, support, and help others through life coaching, specifically teenagers and young adults.
